How to get to Lefkas
From the UK and Ireland
Luckily there are quite a few options available and you are sure to find one that suits your group.
PREVEZA AIRPORT
The majority of visitors to Lefkas fly to Preveza airport (code PVK), either direct or via Athens.
Preveza airport is about 20 minutes from Lefkas Town. Flights to Preveza from the UK run on Sundays from Gatwick and Manchester, as well as some regional airports. Direct flights from the rest of Europe arrive predominantly on Saturdays.
There are also Thursday flights now
Corfu airport
Corfu (locally: Kerkyra) airport is one of the busiest in the Ionian – it is possible to fly in daily from all round Europe on both charter and scheduled airlines. Transfers from Corfu to Lefkas require a ferry journey.
The ferry port is around 15 minutes by taxi from the airport. Ferries leave almost hourly to Igoumenitsa on the mainland and take 1½ – 2 hours. The cost of the ferry is around €10 per foot passanger. Once in Igoumenitsa, a transfer to Lefkas takes about 1 and a half hours. We can organise this for you at very reasonable rates.
ATHENS
Fly from the UK to Athens, hire a car, and drive to Lefkas. This will take about 5 hours and is a very good way to see more of Greece especially if you have an extra few days to play around with. Stay overnight at one of the many scenic villages on the way and get a taste of the lovely laid back Greek lifestyle.
